Ledger Live is the official software interface for Ledger hardware wallets, offering a secure and intuitive way to manage your cryptocurrencies. Before You Begin: What You'll Need

- 🔌USB cable for connection or Bluetooth (Nano X only)
- 📥Latest Ledger Live app installed (Download here)
- 🔢Your device PIN and securely stored recovery phrase

Step 1: Install Ledger Live
⬇️ Download the Software
Head over to the official Ledger website and download Ledger Live for your operating system or mobile device.
Follow the installation instructions. On mobile, Ledger Live is available via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Step 2: Initialize Your Ledger Device
🛠️ Set Up New or Restore
Power on your Ledger device by connecting it via USB or Bluetooth (Nano X). You will be prompted to:
- Select your preferred language
- Create a secure PIN code
- Generate and write down your 24-word recovery phrase — store this offline and never share it
- Confirm your recovery phrase by selecting the correct words on the device
Alternatively, you can restore an existing wallet using your recovery phrase.
✍️ Your recovery phrase is your ultimate key to access your crypto. Losing it means losing your assets.
Step 3: Connect Ledger Live to Your Device
🔗 Connect and Unlock
Connect your Ledger device to your computer or smartphone using a USB cable or Bluetooth (Nano X only). Enter your PIN to unlock the device.
Open Ledger Live, click on “Get Started,” and select whether you want to set up a new device or restore an existing wallet.
🔒 Your private keys never leave your Ledger device — Ledger Live acts as a secure bridge.
Step 4: Add Cryptocurrency Accounts
➕ Adding Supported Accounts
Ledger Live supports over 30 cryptocurrencies and thousands of tokens. To add accounts:
- Navigate to the “Accounts” tab
- Click “Add account”
- Select the cryptocurrency you want to add (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.)
- Ledger Live will sync your device and display your balances
Once added, you can monitor balances, transaction history, and manage your assets.
Step 5: Send and Receive Cryptocurrency
📤 Sending Funds
- Go to the “Send” tab
- Select the account and cryptocurrency
- Enter the recipient’s address carefully (always double-check!)
- Enter the amount you want to send
- Verify transaction details on your Ledger device and confirm
📥 Receiving Funds
- Navigate to the “Receive” tab
- Select the account to receive funds
- Verify your receiving address on the Ledger device screen
- Share the verified address with the sender

Step 6: Keep Your Device and Ledger Live Updated
⚙️ Firmware & Software Updates
Ledger frequently releases updates to improve security and add support for new cryptocurrencies.
- Connect and unlock your Ledger device
- Open Ledger Live and check for update prompts
- Follow the step-by-step instructions to update your device firmware and Ledger Live
⛔ Do not disconnect or power off your device during firmware updates — this can permanently damage your device.

- Only download Ledger Live from the official Ledger website or official app stores.
- Never share your 24-word recovery phrase or PIN.
